Who needs to register in Oregon
Any Broker-Dealer with a principal place of business in Oregon, or with clients located in Oregon above the de minimis threshold, must register with the Oregon Division of Financial Regulation or — if eligible — with the SEC.
Oregon-specific nuance
Oregon charges $225 for RIA registration and requires disclosure of soft-dollar arrangements in the ADV Part 2A.
